Linux was developed as a flavor of UNIX, for use on personal computers. Its syntax, kernal compilation, and environment are very similar to other flavors of UNIX.
We offer classes in both Linux and UNIX. If you want to learn UNIX or Linux in-depth, you should start by taking our introductory and intermediate UNIX courses.
If you want to learn specifically how to install and configure Linux, you should follow up with the Linux series.
If you're interested in UNIX scripting, you can take Advanced UNIX: Script Files, followed by Advanced UNIX Scripting: SED and AWK.
If you want to learn how to handle system administration on a UNIX system, you should take Managing a UNIX System.
