File Management with Windows 10

Learn the basics of managing files and organizing your computer using Windows 7. Explore ways to create and arrange folders in order to manage documents. Sort and filter by file properties to focus on specific types of documents. Discover how to configure your workspace by resizing, moving, and tiling windows, arranging icons, and creating shortcuts. Utilize the search function to find specific files by name. Additional topics include creating, moving, copying, deleting, and renaming files and folders; using the default libraries; viewing properties and features of the recycle bin; and customizing the desktop environment. Transitioning to Windows 10

(Prerequisite: Experience with a previous version of the Windows operating system.) This course is intended for end-users with previous Windows experience who want to ease their transition to Windows 10, and discover the new features and enhancements that will improve their productivity. Learn how to use the newly redesigned Start Screen as a replacement for the more traditional Windows interface. Discover how the Start Screen can be used to manage desktop programs and windows apps, learn to use Jump lists, and work with grouped windows. Review navigation and file management with the File Explorer and learn to use the Contents folder and File Explorer Ribbon. Understand how Libraries help you organize your folders and locate files quickly, and discover how the desktop can be personalized. Additional topics include the Windows 10 interface, Windows control options, and using the Ribbon. [Course Outline]
